Stock & Incoming

The Inventory view shows your current inventory — all spare parts at each deployment, with quantities and locations.

Each spare part entry shows:

  • Part Model — What type of part it is
  • Quantity — How many are currently in stock
  • Location — Where the parts are stored
  • Average price — The average acquisition cost

The Incoming section handles receiving new inventory separately from your regular stock. Use it when

  • You have a physical incoming goods area where parts are pre-sorted or distributed
  • You want to record purchase prices per delivery
  • You want average prices to be calculated automatically
  • You want to use FIFO accounting

To get started, create a part location with the type Incoming in your deployment. You can then book parts via the Incoming section. The booking dialog in Incoming offers additional fields compared to the standard booking dialog in stock:

  • Package price — Total price of the booked package. The current average price of parts already in stock is suggested as a reference.
  • Serial number — Serial number for recording individual parts (optional).
  • Package number — Identifier for the delivery; appears among other places in the FIFO report for tracing individual incoming shipments.

Constraints let you define minimum and maximum stock levels per part model per deployment:

Constraint Purpose
Minimum quantity Alert when stock drops below this level
Maximum quantity Set an upper limit for storage capacity

The inventory system tracks all movements with specific action types:

Action Description
Add New stock added to inventory
Remove Stock removed from inventory
Move Stock moved between locations
Assemble Part installed into a device
Disassemble Part removed from a device
Isolate Part set aside (e.g., for inspection or quarantine)

The Activities view shows a complete audit trail of all inventory movements — who moved what, when, and why.
