Customer Workspaces

The Customer Workspaces feature lets you create and manage independent workspaces for your customers, to organize devices, users, and maintenance more strictly.

Customer workspaces enable collaborative work with a clear separation of access rights and asset ownership. As the parent managing workspace, you can create a fully featured WAKU Care workspace for your customers and partners — without your customers being able to see one another.

Users with the “Admin” role of a workspace that is enabled for creating customer workspaces can create and manage such workspaces via the “Customer Workspaces” menu item.

Every deployment created in a customer workspace by the managing workspace is automatically shared with it, so that both workspaces can work on the associated devices.

Customer workspaces can be used in two ways:

  • As a means of separation (multi-tenancy): As a service provider or manufacturer, you manage your customers’ workspaces while each customer’s data stays clearly separated. Customers cannot see one another.
  • As a standalone workspace: If a customer decides to manage their assets themselves, they can run the customer workspace entirely on their own — with their own users, deployments, and maintenance.

Master data for devices (device manufacturers and device models) defined in the parent managing workspace is also available in the customer workspaces. This lets devices in customer workspaces build directly on the centrally maintained device models, without having to recreate them.

We offer dedicated training on working with customer workspaces. To arrange it, contact our Customer Success team at support@waku-robotics.com.
