Creating a Service Job
Section titled “Creating a Service Job”- Navigate to Service Jobs in the sidebar
- Click Create Service Job
- Fill in the details:
- Deployment (required) — Which site this visit covers. The deployment’s address is automatically used as the job’s address.
- Start and End (required) — The planned period of the visit (date and time, in the deployment’s timezone)
- Name (required) — A name for the service visit
- Click Create
After creation, link Work Orders, Cases, and technicians on the detail page.
Linking Work Orders and Cases
Section titled “Linking Work Orders and Cases”The core value of a Service Job is grouping related work items:
- Add existing Work Orders — Select open work orders that should be handled during this visit
- Add Cases — Include cases that need to be addressed on-site
- Create new Work Orders — Create work orders directly from within the Service Job
Assigning technicians
Section titled “Assigning technicians”You can assign one or more users to a Service Job. All assigned technicians can see the job and its linked work items. This is useful for complex visits that require multiple people.
Scheduling
Section titled “Scheduling”Each Service Job has a planned period (start and end). You can adjust these dates anytime on the detail page or directly in the Calendar view by dragging and resizing.
Executing a Service Job
Section titled “Executing a Service Job”During execution, technicians work through the linked work orders and cases individually. The Service Job provides an overview of progress across all items — the progress display and aggregated duration update automatically.
WAKU Care also surfaces warnings when something needs attention (e.g. overlapping assignments or dates outside the planned period).
