Service Jobs

A Service Job groups multiple work orders and/or cases together for coordinated execution. Service Jobs are particularly useful for planning technician visits where several tasks need to be handled at once.

Service Jobs make sense when:

  • A technician is visiting a site and needs to handle multiple work orders
  • Several cases at the same deployment should be addressed in one trip
  • You want to schedule and track a coordinated service visit
  • Multiple related work items should be planned and completed together

Each Service Job contains:

  • Title and description — What the service visit is about
  • Planned and scheduled dates — When the visit is planned and confirmed
  • Assignee(s) — One or more technicians assigned to the job
  • Linked Work Orders — The work orders to be completed during this visit
  • Linked Cases — The cases to be addressed
  • Status — Tracking the overall progress

WAKU Care automatically aggregates information from linked items:

  • Planned duration — Sum of planned durations from all linked work orders
  • Resolution duration — Total actual time spent across all linked work orders
  • Parts needed — Combined list of spare parts required across all tasks
