Smart Search

Smart Search searches your knowledge base with a single free-text query and returns relevant matches from several areas at once. It helps technicians quickly find the right information — without switching between lists and filters.

  • Header — Open the search dialog from anywhere via the search icon in the top navigation bar.
  • Case detail — When a device is attached to a case, WAKU Care surfaces matching knowledge base proposals directly in the case.

A search returns matches from several sources at once:

Source Description
Devices Devices matching the query
Cases Existing cases (including semantic search over descriptions)
Parts Matching spare parts
Documentation Content from files attached to device models (manuals etc.)

You can narrow the search with three filters: Device, Manufacturer, and Device Model. Selecting a device automatically fills in its manufacturer and model. Matches that fit the selected device, model, or manufacturer are highlighted with a match icon.

Instead of typing, you can dictate your query via speech-to-text — handy while working at the device.

If you searched for something but found no matching existing case, you can create a new case directly from search. The query text and the selected device (if any) are pre-filled.

The search considers not only your current workspace, but also the parent (creator) workspace and your customer workspaces. This way you also find shared documentation from manufacturers or service teams.
